A Nurse Practitioner (NP) is available to offer prenatal and postnatal services to women of the Low-German speaking community in the Langton area. The Nurse Practitioner provides all routine prenatal care, including ordering all recommended blood tests and ultrasounds.  Counselling and education is also provided.  Prenatal care is provided until the last month, when the client is transferred to a family physician or obstetrician for delivery.  Postnatal care for the mother is resumed after delivery, and all routine well baby care may be provided as well.  Pregnancy testing is available.  Services are provided free of charge, OHIP card is not required.  Services are self-referred.  Clinic hours are 8:30 – 4:30 Monday through Friday. Extended Services (Langton Area)

Children of women receiving prenatal and/or postnatal care by a Nurse Practitioner (NP) may receive routine wellness care up to the age of six.  The Nurse Practitioner may perform all necessary physical assessments, order required laboratory tests and x-rays, diagnose and treat common illnesses and injuries, write prescriptions, and give immunization. Counselling and education is also provided.  Services are provided free of charge, OHIP card is not required.  Services are self-referred. Clinic hours are 8:30 – 4:30 Monday through Friday.
